Now that the festive celebrations are done and we have settled into the new year, we thought we’d take some time to reflect on the achievements and events that made 2024 an excellent year for SilverNet.
From new product launches and website usability improvements, to tons of insightful content, tips, and expert advice. Here’s some of our best bits and a few teasers for what to look forward to in 2025, our 20th anniversary year!
Early in 2024 we expanded our innovative STREAM range with the introduction of the new STREAM 60L Wireless Link. We built upon the success of our existing STREAM equipment. The STREAM 60L boasts significantly increased range, making it ideal for long-distance wireless network extensions. It features a built-in alignment scope. Establishing reliable, high-performance connections up to 2KM becomes more achievable than ever.
Later in the year saw our already expansive range of network switches grow even further with the launch of our newest switch: SilverNet 73208MP-12V. This robust industrial switch is designed to excel in the most demanding environments, featuring a variable voltage input range of 9VDC to 56VDC. With PoE+ support on all 8 ports across the entire voltage range and compliance with the IEEE802.3af/at standard, it facilitates reliable Power-over-Ethernet delivery over twisted pair cables.
Everyone got the opportunity to know Managing Director, Chris Ballard, a little better in Security Buyer Magazine’s April issue. Chris was the focus of their “Ask the Expert” segment sharing valuable insights into the industry. You might have also spotted SilverNet on the Professional Security website. It highlighted our end-to-end solutions and showcased our comprehensive approach to network design and implementation.
It was a pleasure to attend this years The Security Event 2024 alongside our partners Redvision CCTV in April. This provided an excellent opportunity to share live demos of our equipment and foster valuable industry connections.
Throughout the year, we continued to share our wireless expertise with you through a variety of channels.
Behind the scenes we’ve been working on improvements to our website, to enhance user experience and making it easier to find the information and products you’re looking for.
All our datasheets, instruction manuals, downloadable documents, and more essential resources are now conveniently located in our centralised Downloads and Support Centre.
Recognising the challenges of navigating a growing product range, we revamped our product menu with new, more intuitive categories. The clear organisational structure makes it easier to find the specific products you need.
Speaking of products, we’ve also refreshed our products page with improved filtering options, enabling you to quickly and easily locate the equipment that best suits your requirements.
2024 was a successful year, and we extend our sincere gratitude to all our valued customers and partners for their continued support.
