Anheuser-Busch InBev is the largest brewer in the world and makes many of the UK’s best- loved drinks.
Our beers have been popular in the UK for many years and we now employ around 1,400 people at our UK breweries at Magor, Samlesbury and in Mortlake – as well as at our company headquarters in Luton.
In the UK we manage and make a wide range of award-winning beers, ales, stouts and cider. They include global flagship brands such as Budweiser, Stella Artois and Beck’s as well as local favourites including Boddingtons and Bass. We have introduced new beers such as Budweiser Brew No.66, Stella Artois Black and Stella Artois Cidre and distribute iconic world beers including Hoegaarden and Leffe.
The Challenge
To upgrade the site security system with a flexible and reliable wireless infrastructure to cover the whole brewery site.
The Solution
Using the 11n MICRO and 11n LITE links Advance security was able to install a system which linked all the cameras back to the centrally managed digital recording system in the control room and also connect to multiple remote stations with security systems 5.7KM away.
The system was quickly installed and the Advance Security team were delighted with the monitoring facilities within the SilverView network monitoring software as well as the ability to quickly configure the system.
Due to the high bandwidth availability the system can be easily expanded and have multiple cameras added to without any system performance degradation.
The Technical Bit
The high bandwidth 11n range was used for the local and backhaul links to the control room. Due to their minimal size and weight and the ability of giving cabled speeds across the network.
