The Challenge
To install a new Chocolate Factory wireless Security System with a flexible and reliable wireless infrastructure that covered multiple areas, improving security at the Bourneville Cadbury site.
The Solution
Schneider Electric Ltd. installed a system using the 11n MICRO for multiple point-to-point links. This system wirelessly connected multiple remote stations with CCTV cameras attached to a centrally managed PELCO digital recording system in the CCTV control room. The Chocolate Factory wireless Security System was efficiently connected using the wireless infrastructure.
The Schneider Electrical team was delighted with the monitoring facilities within the SilverView network monitoring software and the system’s ability to quickly configure itself when changes were required. The system was quickly installed.
The high bandwidth availability of the system allows for easy expansion and the addition of multiple cameras without any system performance degradation.
The Technical Bit
The high bandwidth 11n range was used for multiple point-to-point links to the control room. Due to their minimal size and weight and the ability of giving cabled speeds across the network.
